General queries

Do I need a referral from my GP to arrange a consultation?

No referral is needed. We simply require patients to complete a patient registration form with your demographics, important medical information and past fertility history if this is relevant. We also request that patients send us any medical notes or previous fertility test results by email at least one week prior to the appointment so that the doctor can review them.

How long will the consultation last?

Typically the first consultation will last 45 minutes to one hour, depending on the complexity of each individual case.

Will I have any testing done during this consultation?

We will arrange for you to have testing done before or after this consultation if it is indicated.

Is there parking at your clinics?

There is parking available at our Cork, Kilkenny & Drogheda clinics. In our Dublin clinic there is a Luas Park and Ride car park beneath us at the Balally Luas stop. Payment for this car park is payable at the Luas Ticket Machines. We would mainly advise patients to park in the Dundrum Town Centre carpark which is directly across the road from our clinic. Traffic in the Dundrum area can be heavy so please allow extra time to get to your appointment. In our Galway clinic limited parking is available. Parking is also available in Dunne Stores Knocknacara which is a 4 minute walk from the clinic.

After the Initial Consultation when can I begin treatment?

Treatment can be started as soon as you are ready. We try to carry out all diagnostics within one cycle (ie. one month).

Do you treat single females and same-sex couples?

We have the facilities and expertise to provide comprehensive care to same-sex female couples and single women.
