Get to know Miguel
Dr. Miguel Caballero is a specialist in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Medicine.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Alcalá de Henares, one of Spain’s oldest institutions. Immediately after, he specialised in and worked in Intensive Care for six years before pursuing Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón, a leading center of excellence. He holds a Master’s Degree in Fertility from the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) and has been a professor since 2017.
In 2016, he earned his PhD Cum Laude from the Complutense University of Madrid. His career has always been dedicated to reproductive medicine, spending four years at Clínica Tambre, one of Spain’s pioneering assisted reproduction centers. He then spent 11 years in the assisted reproduction unit at Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón, one of the country’s most renowned public institutions in this field. An active researcher, Dr. Caballero contributes to SEF task forces, shaping guidelines on endometriosis, myomas, hydrosalpinx, uterine benign pathology, and chronic endometritis.
A strong advocate of evidence-based medicine, he is committed to advancing reproductive healthcare, with publications in leading fertility journals. Beyond medicine, he is passionate about rugby, embracing its core values of honesty, teamwork, effort, and collective responsibility in both his personal and professional life.
