Is Egg Donor Treatment right for you?
Donor egg treatment may be recommended if pregnancy using your own eggs is unlikely or no longer possible. There are a number of reasons why your fertility specialists may discuss donor eggs as part of your treatment plan, including:
- Age-related changes in fertility: As women age, both the number and quality of their eggs naturally decline. Using donor eggs may improve the chances of achieving a healthy pregnancy.
- Premature ovarian failure: When the ovaries stop functioning earlier than expected, resulting in a reduced or absent supply of healthy eggs.
- Poor egg quality: If previous fertility treatment has shown poor fertilisation or embryo development despite optimised IVF or ICSI treatment, donor eggs may be recommended.
- Genetic conditions: If there is a known genetic condition that could be passed on to a child, donor eggs may provide a way to to reduce this risk.

Added Reassurance
Our donor egg programme is designed to give patients added reassurance as they move forward with treatment.
Our aim is to create a minimum of 1-2 embryos depending on the programme that is chosen. If you donor egg cycle does not result in an embryo suitable for transfer, we will provide another donor at no additonal cost, subject to the programmes eligibility criteria.

At ReproMed, our in-house Egg Donation Programme offers a supportive and carefully managed pathway for individuals and couples who need donor eggs to grow their family. Our specialist team will help you match with a suitable donor, with access to non-identifying information including physical traits, education, religion, medical history, interests and hobbies
Alongside our in-house programme, we also offer two other egg donor programmes. Your consultant will talk you through all the available options, helping you decide which programme is right for you.
