On the day of egg retrieval, you will receive conscious sedation (a combination of medication that will help you relax and maybe fall asleep, and another to reduce discomfort)
- Egg Retrieval: Our experienced ReproMed team performs the egg retrieval procedure, guiding a thin needle through the vaginal wall to access the ovaries and retrieve the mature eggs. The collected eggs are then carefully transported to our state-of-the-art laboratory.
- Sperm Collection: The male partner provides a sperm sample at ReproMed. Our laboratory professionals prepare the sperm to ensure its highest quality for fertilisation. Sperm production can be done at one of our clinics or at home following some specific instructions.
