Shafi is an empathetic, kind, and friendly fertility consultant at ReproMed Fertility Clinic in Galway. She graduated from Fatima Jinnah Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan, and moved to Ireland just after completing her internship. Dr. Shafi has always been interested in pursuing her career in gynaecology, and she completed her training in obstetrics and gynaecology with teaching hospitals in Ireland, including University Hospital, Galway. While in training, she completed a number of diplomas and certificates in courses related to women’s health.

During her work in women’s health, Dr. Shafi took a diploma in women’s health from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She also completed a diploma in family planning from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists UK. Following that, she worked in a women’s health clinic in Northern Ireland and trained in genitourinary medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Later, she worked in Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry, where she completed her training in this field.

In 2011, Dr. Shafi moved to Galway and joined ReproMed Fertility Clinic, formerly known as Galway Fertility Clinic. During her time there, she completed her training in reproductive medicine, taking several courses and attending national and international conferences to further her expertise in this area of medicine. Additionally, she pursued a graduate degree in gynaecology and obstetrics ultrasound scanning at University College, Dublin, while working in the field of reproductive medicine.

Dr. Shafi is a member of the British Fertility Society and the European Society of Human Reproduction, demonstrating her commitment to staying updated with the latest developments and research in fertility and reproductive medicine.
